A spark was lit in January of 2015 when I attended a presentation given by doctoral students from SOAS University of London. I had no idea in that moment that such an interaction would lead me to Egypt to cultivate my control of Arabic through autodidactic immersion. Soon thereafter, I was given the space to formally explore the field of translation as a Fulbright grantee in the Northeast of Brazil.

Returning home after a few years abroad, I joined B Lab as a Business Sustainability Analyst where I implemented my acquired language and cultural competencies to identify for-profit companies transforming how business is done. I came to internalize the belief that business can be used as a force for good, to benefit both people and the planet.

These key events have led me to where I am today! A United States native from West Chester, Pennsylvania, I champion bridge building toward a more unified world through B Corporation consulting and translation services. As a former analyst at B Lab and current Trained B Consultant, I understand the path to Certification on an intimate level and aim to serve like-minded companies ready to embark on the journey. In the field of translation, I specialize in sustainability topics from Arabic and Portuguese into English. I am also currently certified by the American Translators Association from Portuguese into English.

Outside of work I enjoy dancing salsa, reading, savoring delicious cuisine, and traveling. As time passes I hope to learn more world languages and fill many passport visa pages with stamps from diverse nations.
