Impact
We are a Certified B Corporation and 1% for the Planet business member.
At Enharmonic Encounters, we have type B blood. From the very beginning we understood that our planet could no longer afford business as usual. We feel led to do business a different way, putting people and planet on an equal playing field with profit. That’s what it means to be a Certified B Corporation.
Using business as a force for good can take a myriad of forms. For us, we are committed to continuous improvement of our social and environmental impact.

Our commitment to giving
We take giving very seriously, and have made it the beating heart of our identity. We direct 5% of our annual revenue to organizations dedicated to advancing equity.
We honor our commitment through our partnership with 1% for the Planet, a global organization that exists to ensure our planet and future generations thrive. By connecting businesses and environmental partners around the globe, the 1% for the Planet community harnesses the power of collective action by using partnerships and strategic giving to address today’s most pressing environmental challenges.
We give unapologetically to Black-owned environmental partners working to enhance Black lives, all of whom are vetted by 1% for the Planet. We also give to other Black-owned organizations that meet the following criteria:
- 501(c)(3) status or equivalent.
- A focus on enhancing the quality of life for Black communities (e.g., affordable housing, voter enfranchisement, mental health).
- Transparency through accessible impact reports.
By putting people and planet above profit through intentional giving, we are building a more equitable and sustainable future.

Meet our charitable partners

Black Outside, Inc
Fueled by its mission to reconnect Black and African-American youth to the outdoors, Black Outside seeks to transform outdoor programming and spaces to be places of belonging, joy, and connection for Black youth and families, inspiring the next generation of outdoor enthusiasts, adventurers, and protectors of the planet.
We are truly honored to be supported by Enharmonic Encounters through 1% for the Planet. We know that Black people and people of color have played and will continue to play a critical role in protecting our planet and climate. However, Black youth can only protect what they know and are connected to. Support from Enharmonic Encounters has been critical in helping us expand access to nature spaces for Black youth specifically in our home state of Texas, in which only 1% of state park visitors identify as Black or African-American. We look forward to continuing to work together and further diversify outdoor access and programming, thereby helping foster a deeper connection and care for our planet.

Minorities in Aquaculture
Bridging the gap between minority individuals aspiring to build careers in aquaculture and the industry’s workforce development needs, requirements, and goals, Minorities in Aquaculture strives to facilitate and promote a more inclusive and sustainable future for the aquaculture sector.
Collaboration is at the heart of what we do. Partnering with organizations for funding, resources, and support allows us to expand our reach, amplify our mission, and empower more individuals from underrecognized communities to thrive in aquaculture. Working with Enharmonic Encounters through the 1% for The Planet network is a powerful step forward for us. Their support aligns with our vision to build an inclusive and sustainable future for aquaculture while also advancing our funding goals. This partnership will be instrumental as we continue to grow, expand our programs, and make an even greater impact. Together, we can foster meaningful change, not just for our organization, but for the aquaculture industry as a whole.

Our commitment to environmental stewardship
Every business—no matter the size or industry—has a role to play in protecting our planet. As a mission-driven, service-based company, we recognize that even our operations have an environmental impact. Environmental responsibility isn’t just a trendy term; it’s a core pillar of using business as a force for good.
At Enharmonic Encounters, we accept full responsibility for our negative environmental impact, and we’re doing something about it. That’s why we’ve committed to the Offset Climate Certified program through our partnership with Offset Alliance to formally track our greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and offset them by funding verified GHG reduction projects, while also adopting strategies to lower emissions over time.
While we officially made this commitment in 2025, we went back to our first year of operations in 2022 and accounted for our full environmental impact over our lifespan. We now hold ourselves accountable year over year.
We must take a stand on climate change, and it starts with our actions.
